Our goal in 4-H Eco Maniacs is to protect and help develop the environment. We strive to teach people the importance of nature as well as the actions people can take to preserve it.
We work on a myriad of projects. Two of our more profound projects include beach and road clean-ups. We work on a variety of projects depending on the season and availability of the group members.
The 4-H Eco-Maniacs meet once every month. The date tends to be on the third Tuesday of every month, and will always be given out in the previous meeting. Meetings are usually 1.5-2 hours long.
4-H was first developed around the 1900's, when school teachers helped students with small projects covering the topic of farming. In 1911, the name 4-H was adopted.
Members of 4-H have been proven to make more contributions to society than people who do not attend this program.
